Will a typhoon ruin the finale of “Koh-Lanta”? Dangers on the pole test
Does a typhoon threaten the “Koh-Lanta” finale? As the long-awaited reality TV show approaches its conclusion with the legendary pole test, the candidates could well be confronted with an unexpected danger: a typhoon.
The formidable winds and rains could jeopardize the smooth running of this final test, thus putting on hold the fate of the adventurers vying for victory.
Viewers are legitimately wondering if this climatic event will have an impact on the long-awaited finale of this iconic game, thus imposing heavy uncertainty on the continuation of events.
Extreme weather conditions could shake up the long-awaited finale of this season of Koh Lanta on TF1. Léa, Julie and Meïssa, the three candidates still in the competition, must compete to win the 100,000 euros at stake. But this time, they are not only opposed to each other: an unexpected intruder, THE Typhoon Mawar, threatens to disrupt the grand final.
The show’s teams have already anticipated the arrival of this natural phenomenon. Producer Julien Magne clarified that the safety of adventurers and teams is the number one priority, which has led them to take preventative measures, such as moving to safer areas and changing some test locations to ensure everyone’s safety.
For several weeks, this cyclone has crept into each episode, forcing the candidates to move several times. The three remaining competitors even spent a few nights in a school on dry land to avoid the dangers posed by the raging elements.
Despite this critical situation, Julien Magne affirms that filming was not interrupted, although adjustments were necessary, notably the reduced adventure duration at 38 days instead of the usual 40 to anticipate the impact of the cyclone. Denis Brogniart, the presenter of the show, confirmed that production was constantly on alert, ready to act if necessary.
With the increasingly tumultuous weather conditions, the events had to be adapted. The famous images of threatening waves and a production team struggling with the elements leave doubt about the unfolding of the final test.
Denis Brogniart said the cyclone would be one of protagonists of the posts. But, without giving details on whether or not this emblematic event will continue, it leaves viewers waiting. One thing is certain, there will be spectacular images and palpable tension until the end.
