Lovers of Blue Bloods could soon have excellent news. At the annual meeting of shareholders of Paramount Global, co-CEO Brian Robbins has hinted that new franchise expansions are in development, including one for the popular series with Tom Selleck.

This means that even though the series is set to end with its 14th season in the fall, a spin-off could soon emerge.

Tom Selleck, who plays the New York police commissioner and patriarch of the Reagan family, has been very clear about his desire to see the series continue. He affirmed to TV Insider that CBS could see significant dissatisfaction from fans if the series were to end permanently. According to him, the popularity of the series is at its peak and interest continues to grow.

Paramount Global also mentioned other franchise expansions, including for popular series Dexter And Billions.
