After the success of the first and second season, the series Lycée Toulouse-Lautrec returns for a third season, still on TF1. If the audiences for the final of the last season were in the lead, ahead of programs like Married at First Sight (M6) or It’s a Sin (France 2), what about this new season? Analysis of the first information available before this highly anticipated television return.

A positive outcome for season 2

The finale of the second season attracted 2.33 million viewers, either 14.3% of the general audience. An honorable figure for a French series compared to shows that have already proven themselves, such as Married at First Sight which brought together 2.12 million romantics for an 11.3% audience. The film Des hommes broadcast on France 3 attracted 1.70 million people.

Ever-higher expectations

With this growing success, expectations around season 3 of Lycée Toulouse-Lautrec are high. To remain the leader, TF1 will have to offer even more captivating storylines and maintain the quality of its casting and production.

New features and issues for season 3

According to the first information available, this new season will be an opportunity for the writers and actors to surpass themselves:

  • Renewed intrigues : with new conflicts, unexpected alliances and shocking revelations, the students of Lycée Toulouse-Lautrec will have to redouble their efforts to succeed this year.
  • A cast as talented as ever : if certain characters left school during the last season, new students are expected to bring their energy and ambition to the plot.
  • A careful execution : after the notable success of previous seasons, the production work must continue to be impeccable to offer viewers visual and auditory quality that meets their expectations.

So, even if it is still too early to know if this third season will succeed in attracting as much as the first two, there already seem to be many advantages for Lycée Toulouse-Lautrec to remain a flagship program on the French television landscape.

What about the competition?

We must not neglect the other channels which do not intend to let TF1 monopolize the audience. We note in particular:

  • The new season of Married at first sight on M6, whose audiences follow those of Lycée Toulouse-Lautrec.
  • The programs of France 2 and France 3, which also strive to offer quality content to attract viewers.
  • Foreign series broadcast on TNT channels, which sometimes meet with significant success with the French public.

Faced with this increased competition, it will be interesting to see how TF1 will be able to stand out, while continuing to retain its viewers with Lycée Toulouse-Lautrec season 3.
