Appointment with crime: the continuation of the fiction with Arié Elmaleh and Sophie de Fürst in question
The police saga “Rendezvous with crime” in perspective of new chapters
Fanfares and suspense accompanied Arié Elmaleh and Sophie de Fürst during the broadcast of “The Black Sheep”, the second narrative search in the series “Rendez-vous avec le crime”. Is this series, which is popular with the public, expected to return to our screens with France 3? We lift the veil on the issue!
From the small screen to success: “Rendezvous with crime”
The film adaptation of the novels “The Yorkshire Detectives” by writer Julia Chapman won over viewers during its last appearance on Tuesday January 30. Subtitled “The Black Sheep”, this opus was brilliantly brought to the screen in the bucolic countryside of Brittany, by renowned actors. Among them, Arié Elmaleh, actor with an eclectic filmography visible in “Tropiques Criminels”, “Le Souffle du dragon”, or even “Les Randonneuses”, as well as Sophie de Fürst, revealed in “Profilage” on TF1.
The two stars respectively play Samson, an investigator with a placid manner, and Lila, the bubbly director of a dating site, united to unravel the enigmas brewing in their native village. Let’s not forget the faithful canine companion of the story, who, according to Arié Elmaleh, does not smell like roses! Alongside them, Olivier Saladin takes over the role of Joseph following Michel Jonasz, and the team is completed by Gaëlle Bona, Soren Prevost, Diana Rudychenko, Zoé Bruneau, and Bernadette Le Saché.
Intrigue and mystery in the second opus
In “The Black Sheep”, a resident of a retirement home, Villa Agatha, seeks Samson’s help to find valuable possessions, including a golden pillbox, mysteriously stolen. Samson is initially doubtful about the accusations against Irina, the newly arrived director, when a tragic death occurs. The tension rises a notch and Samson launches into the investigation, helped by Lila, while his father Joseph resides in the establishment and could be in danger.
The future of “Appointment with Crime”
Let’s rejoice, because it seems that Samson and Lila will continue to tread the lands of their mysteries in future television epics. The confirmation comes from Arié Elmaleh who, currently at the Théâtre Edouard VII, reveals that not only does the success of the film adaptation open up the possibility of a regular series, but that in addition, two additional episodes are already in gestation. The team is therefore about to return to the sets to the delight of the fans. And for the record, it is Olivier Saladin who will take over the role of Samson’s father, promising us many more intrigues and twists and turns.
